You see, your lower extremities are an extremely important part of our overall health, yet most do not consider healthy legs and feet as that important until something drastic occurs which causes one to be “off their feet” for a period of time. Think about it, your feet and legs carry your weight and exhibit exertion against gravitational forces on a daily basis. Walking is controlled falling and since infancy we have taken first steps to human movement. To move is to live!

At Foot Savi we are lower extremity experts! In business for 22 years, our store bridges the gap between medical and retail… we provide a nice facility allowing for our certified fitters to assist you with individualized attention to your footcare needs. We offer helpful products and insights for a variety of ailments including plantar fasciitis, heel pain, Achilles tendonitis, leg cramps, lower leg pain and therapeutic shoes for persons with diabetes and arthritis. In 1993, Congress passed Therapeutic Shoe bill allowing a diabetic with qualifying conditions one pair of shoes and three pair of orthotics per calendar year. As a Medicare recipient with diabetes, that is a pair of shoes every year! Our owner and chief Pedorthist, John W. Owen, Jr. “Sion”, BOCPD, CDME, BOCOF has been fitting patients in SC, NC, GA and TN since the bill came out in 1993 and has worked with lower extremity issues as an allied health professional for over 30 years.
We have several certified, PFA member pedorthists on staff to assist with hard to fit issues such as narrow heels, bunions, hammer toes or claw toes. For legs, our compression works department is the largest in the Midlands offering traditional and wrapping compression systems for those with leg swelling mild to wild! We offer bracing for feet, ankles, legs and the back and carry durable medical equipment in our medical division. Our CDME specialist can special order items needed for home and is a walking encyclopedia of products and services available to help you stay in your home longer. As a BOC certified establishment, we pass stringent accreditation standards and can fill prescriptive items, some billed through insurance and others FSA or HSA accounts.
At Foot Savi, we don’t leave out the fashion when it comes to fit and functionality either. As a member of the National Shoe Retailers Association, we carry many European branded comfort shoes and have access to hundreds of products just right for you. As your personal shoe fitters, Foot Savi will find the right product for the right foot type every time. In 2019 we opened up a medical day spa equipped to help tired and achy feet and legs relax as well as an advanced medical nail technician who can offer you excellent routine nail and foot care from hard to trim to nail reconstruction.
